Registered Waste Broker & Dealer with the Environment Agency
Absolute Environmental Solutions Ltd is registered with the Environment Agency as an upper tier waste broker and dealer under registration number CBDU309472. That registration permits us to arrange for the disposal and recovery of waste on your behalf. It is not a carrier's registration and we do not hold one: we do not collect or transport waste ourselves.
Everything physical on your project is carried out by contractors we appoint and check — registered carriers moving the waste, and permitted or exempt facilities receiving it. Our part is to classify the waste correctly, select the right route for it, hold the contractors to the standard, and give you the documentation that proves it.

Your duty of care, evidenced
Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 the duty of care follows the waste producer. Handing waste to somebody else does not end your responsibility for it — you have to be able to show where it went and that whoever handled it was entitled to.
Every project we manage returns that evidence to you as a matter of course:
- Waste transfer notes for non-hazardous movements, and hazardous waste consignment notes where the waste is classified as hazardous.
- The carrier registration number of every contractor appointed to move your waste, checked against the public register before they attend.
- The environmental permit or registered exemption of every facility receiving it.
- The European Waste Catalogue (EWC) code applied to each stream, with the reasoning behind the classification where it is not obvious.
- Weighbridge tickets and final disposal or recovery confirmations, so the paper trail ends at a destination rather than at a collection.
How we vet contractors
A broker is only as good as the contractors it puts on your site. Before any contractor is appointed we confirm their registration or permit is current and covers the work, that their insurance is in force, and that they hold the specific competencies the job needs — confined space entry, hot works, or controlled drug denaturing among them. Registrations are re-checked rather than taken on file, because a lapsed carrier registration is your problem as much as theirs.
Insurance
We hold current public liability and professional indemnity cover appropriate to the consultancy and brokerage work we carry out, and the contractors we appoint hold their own cover for the physical works. Certificates for both are available on request for any project, and we are happy to supply them to your procurement or health and safety team before work starts.
